Get up early and scoot--one of those self-service breakfast things, so I had a coffee from a weird Senseo coffee machine (Philips I think) smeared a slice of baguette with butter and orange marmalade, and we scooted. No sense in really lingering.

Not much to see around here, so we wandered over to Foix where I found a subterranean cave boat tour that sounded intriguing. It was kind of fun, get a dozen people in a boat with a guide, who pulls the boat through a limestone cave along a channel, looking at cave decorations and often banging the aluminum hull against the channel walls. We transferred from channel to channel maybe three times, dodged a lot of cave thingses hanging down, and had a pretty good time. Bonus was that it was just €11, so for over an hour it was good value, unlike that other cave with the road tunnel.

Then onto Decathalon--I could use a few regular socks, and Chris could use some shoes, and they're really inexpensive there. Found the socks, and the shoes, and a t-shirt, and a very amusing piece of fetish gear that I'm not going to mention here. Call it a souvenir.

Foix was busy busy busy, a market day, so we went to a kinda sad Leclerc hypermarket outside of town and combed the store for cold drinks (in the very back, near the fish and meat), drove through town and past the impressive castle, and had a leisurely lunch at a roadside picnic area. Then backtrack to our last gîte in Hikerworld, La Colline Verte, in the cute village of Ustou.

Some ice cream from the local grocery, some blogging will round out our day, plus dinner of course.
