Good breakfast. Happy we've gone off the trail.
Saw the highest train station in France, a stop on the yellow train.
Drove north through a broad pine valley to a cave. Best cave in many years, very decorated and not damaged, lots to see inside.
Down through hot scrubby country--definitely feeling more Mediterranean than Pyrenean. Walked up to an abbey for a tour, but they were closed until 1:45pm, and it was just 1pm, didn't feel like hanging out in the heat. Not particularly welcoming either, it's 35C out and there's not any water to drink, guess you're supposed to buy it at the closed shop.
Saw the Yellow Train crossing a bridge! That's a bonus.
Drove back to our nice B&B in Llo, watched the thunderstorms roll in. Spotted a big old deer down the hill. Strangely, it's the first deer we've seen here in the mountains, and thinking more--there isn't much wildlife at all to see here, not even many birds.
A pretty good day!
