Woke up at 5, coffee and a baguette, walked 20 minutes to the train station in odd warm fog.

The two hour train ride ended up being three hours, no worries. Hotel across from the train station. Toulouse looks... scruffy? No sure, between the sleepless sweaty nights of the past month and the early morning wakeup time, I'm just going through the motions.

We get our hotel room in Toulouse really early early at 0930, and sort out stuff. The room was nicely large.

A nap.

Lunch at a great seafood restaurant. I like oysters.

Walked around trying to find touristy stuff--a very old Dominican thing called a convent, the curious chunky and not-Gothic cathedral that's getting near 1000 years old. The salmon-colored bricks used in the city center make it look not-French to me.

The city just didn't grab me. It was somewhat busy, but I felt like I was just passing through, and enjoying that cool cool air conditioning in our hotel room.

Repacked and that's about it. These trips arent really about cramming much in every day.
They're just about exploring different parts of the world, seeing what's out there.
