Not much to report. PSP was delightfully easy (10 min from curb to gate, including bag checkin). SFO was a dull 4 hours waiting with a gifted United Club pass; at last the food was better (tasty sandwiches and tacos/nachos). Flight in Economy was tight but it was a 777 so none of that stuffy gross humid 787 recirc air, and meals were kinda edible. Took about 90 minutes to get through Zurich Passport control, then wound my way to the train station and swiped on the SBB Easy Pass option to start my train ride on some IC to St Gallen, got charged 14 SF which seems cheapish. (the dollar and Swiss Franc are pretty much at parity now).

Chris met me at the train station, 15 minutes on my OskarCard to Santispark. Shower, change, walked around town to the one real attraction, the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Abbey of St Gallen, a medieval library from the 800s or so, where monks just scribbled away for centuries, believing that Jesus would save them with their incantations, when they really should've been doing something better like inventing eyeglasses or algebra or something. Pretty sure the number of monks that achieved salvation, but this is pre-science so how can that ever be proven?

Enjoyed a beverage, walked across the street and had some kinda sad but filling meal, ate a melatonin gummy and slept for 10 hours with crazy dreams, and hoped I could remember the next day--melatonin has its uses, but damn if I can remember things the next day.
