Kakadu National Park to Davidson's Camp, Northern Territory
We do a quick 5 kilometer hike through some moderately interesting sandstone formations, then drive into Arnhem Land for Davidson's Arnhem Land Safaris camp--and see some incredible Aboriginal rock art at an incredible price.
Weird Wildlife Sighting
Easy: the Leichhardt Grasshoppers. These wildly colored insects spend their entire life on one single plant belonging to the Pitchyay genus. They're so rare that they were first described by the explorer Leichhardt in the 1860's, then not seen again for a hundred years. Now, they're known to exist in only a very few locations in Kakadu, Arnhem Land, and out near the WA border at Keep River.
