The second day of our in-pool diving class.
Not really much to report here. Two in pool dives in the morning. Both went well, though my mask leaked. Grrrrr. At least the fins are pretty decent and are working out well. In the afternoon, there was more classroom exercises, our test, and then we walked around town until leaving on the boat at 8pm.
The boat's a good size, and fairly spacious. Chris and I have a double bunk cabin on the main deck, which faces into the saloon--a long room down the middle of the boat where 30 people can sit around four long tables. In one corner's a couch, the other corner's the kitchen, and out in back are the dive racks. Up on the top deck is the wheelhouse, some more cabins, and a back open deck with a sun shade. It's pretty nice, though not that fast--only 6 knots.
We fell asleep as the boat was pulling out of Abel Point Marina, then a few hours later we were awoken by the anchor chain dropping... before falling off asleep again.
